Diabetic peripheral neuropathy usually happens in motorist organs such as legs, feet, and arms. But, the most common case is found in the feet. The effect of the nerve damaged can be felt by loss sensation in the foot. Hence, if you are getting injured, you may not feel it. Diabetic autonomic neuropathy is another type of complication that caused by diabetes. This type usually has an effect on the digestive system and sex organs. The diabetes neuropathy symptoms in autonomic type mostly relate to digestive disorders like diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, bloating, feeling full in short time, and so forth. Like the previous type, it can be prevented by controlling the blood sugar.

The next type is diabetic proximal neuropathy. It is also called as diabetic amyotrophy. This commonly produces such kinds of pain feeling in several parts of body such as thighs, hips, and buttock. Besides the pain feeling, diabetes neuropathy symptoms in proximal type are weight loss, abdominal swelling, and weakness of muscles.

The last type is diabetic focal neuropathy or mostly called as mononeuropathy. This type commonly affect on specific nerves on the body. The affected nerves usually located in the legs, torso or face. The diabetes neuropathy symptoms in focal type are pain in the foot, thigh, or abdomen, paralysis on half of face, and unfocused or double vision.
